Azithral 500mg Tablet

Description

AZITHRAL 500MG TABLET is also used to treat ear infections and skin & soft tissue infections (such as an abscess/boil) in affected individuals which is also indicated for use to treat sexually transmitted diseases such as cervicitis (caused by organisms such as Chlamydia trachomatis/ Neisseria gonorrhoea) in affected individuals.

AZITHRAL 500MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients allergic to azithromycin, other antibiotics such as erythromycin/clarithromycin (macrolides), and ketolides. It is also not recommended for use in patients with a history of cholestatic jaundice/hepatic dysfunction.

Before taking AZITHRAL 500MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you have diabetes, myasthenia gravis (condition marked by weak muscles), heart problems, and/or kidney problems.

AZITHRAL 500MG TABLET should be used with caution during pregnancy and in women planning for pregnancy only if it is clearly necessary. It is also advised to be used with caution in breast-feeding woman as it is unknown whether the medicine gets excreted in the breast milk.

AZITHRAL 500MG TABLET is not recommended for use in children weighing less than 45 kgs which is advised to be used with caution in elderly patients (aged above 65 years) after consulting the doctor.

The most common side effects of taking AZITHRAL 500MG TABLET are stomach cramps, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, flatulence, dizziness, headache, and/or skin rash. Consult your doctor if any of the symptoms worsen.

USES OF AZITHRAL 500MG TABLET

• Treats mild to moderate susceptible infections caused by bacteria and other micro-organisms which includes chest, throat, nasal infections (such as bronchitis, pneumonia, tonsillitis, sore throat and sinusitis).
• Treats ear infections and skin & soft tissue infections (such as an abscess/boil) in affected individuals.
• Treats sexually transmitted diseases such as cervicitis (caused by organisms such as Chlamydia trachomatis/ Neisseria gonorrhea) in affected individuals.
